Spring weather is a tease.

One day, it's a balmy 70°, and the next day…it snows. That’s just how Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana roll. So when spring finally creeps in with several warm days in a row, we all notice.

And we go outside.

While you’re out there (enjoying the first warm weekend), here are a few quick “propane things” you can check on and knock out early so your propane runs smoothly all season long.

We’re Finally Back Outdoors

This is your time. It’s mostly springtime, and that’s enough for us.

Warmer weather pulls us all out of our homes. We walk the dog longer, stroll farther, and cling to the lingering daylight. Patio furniture gets dusted off. The grill comes out. It rains instead of snows. And we start hosting instead of hibernating.

Since we’re finally outside again, doing a spring propane “once-over” now makes a lot of sense. And we understand, you’ve got a lot to do, but this won’t take long. We promise.

Let’s Walk Through Your Propane Together

Spring is the easiest time to give your propane setup a little attention. But if you don't know where to start, that’s okay, Baker’s does.

Give Your Tank a Visual Inspection

A quick look goes a long way. Your tank’s been sitting in snow and soft soil for months. Between the wind, rain, landscaping, and brewing spring storms, this is the moment to check for anything that looks wrong.

  • Are there branches leaning on your tank?

  • Is there debris tucked underneath?

  • Is anything rusty?

  • Are any parts wiggly or loose?

  • Does that one area still look funny?

You’re not doing anything technical here. Just a look around for obvious or troubling spots. Find one? Still not sure? Baker’s can take a look. We’re already out and about this time of year. Just give us a call.

Check Your Tank Levels Before Busy Season
We tried not to say “early bird gets the worm,” but we couldn’t help ourselves. Springtime means maybe warmer weekends, but it’s not a guarantee. So, while everyone else is “still waiting,” this is your chance to pounce.

Propane levels can dip lower than you expect after winter, especially if you had a few surprise cold snaps or ran the fireplace more than usual. (Can anyone say Lake Effect Snow?) A quick glance at your gauge now saves you from scrambling later when everyone else suddenly remembers they have a tank, too.

Request a Fill if You’re Running Low

If you’re lower than you thought, Baker’s can get you on the schedule before the spring rush hits. Just let us know your low–that’s it. Baker’s takes it from there.

  • We show up when we say we will

  • We keep pricing fair, even when the market gets weird

  • We’ve got our own fleet of over 85 trucks and safety drivers on the road

  • We fill on your schedule, emergencies, and after hours

Baker’s also offers automatic tank monitoring through our Keep Fill Program. So, if you’d rather not think about your gauge at all, we’ll track it for you and handle fills before you ever run low. That way, you stay ahead of spring and stop babysitting your tank.

Refill Your BBQ Tanks Now

If you’ve got a significant other who tries to BBQ in a winter parka and mittens, this is the season we’ve all been waiting for. Break out those shorts (nice knees!) and get back to grilling the right way. Warm weather and full BBQ tanks are always in for spring and summer. And at Baker’s, we’re ready for yours.

Does your BBQ tank need refilling? Baker’s is out making rounds. Bring your tank to the Baker’s location nearest you or give us a call – and get your grill fired up first.

Schedule a Service Visit (Just in Case)

Nothing kills a spring weekend faster than a hiccup in your outdoor entertainment plans. Grills, heaters, firepits, bug zappers, and lights–they can all run on propane, but they get a little cranky after sitting all winter.

You’re already dragging furniture out, sweeping patios, and pretending this is the year you’ll stay on top of yardwork. Add one more easy win to the list: get your propane setup checked before the season gets busy. A quick visit from Baker’s makes sure everything lights, runs, and behaves the way it should.
